Andhra Pradesh Forest Department Recruits 2167 Candidates
Andhra Pradesh Forest Department has announced the notification for recruiting 2167 candidates for their various posts. Selected candidates will be responsible for protecting, conserving and managing forests of Andhra Pradesh state.
Details of the posts and vacancies
Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill up the following posts:
- Assistant Beat Officers: 1224 Posts
- Forest Beat Officers: 751 Posts
- Forest Section Officers: 151 Posts
- Thanadars: 16 Posts
- Technical Assistant: 14 Posts
- Bunglow Watchers: 11 Posts
Educational qualification
Several vacant posts come with several educational qualifications. They are as following :
- For Assistant Beat Officers: candidates must pass 10th standard or its equivalent exam.
- For Forest Beat Officers: Applicants need to pass the Intermediate Examination or its equivalent exam.
- For Forest Section Officers: Candidates must be a graduate with Botany or Zoology or Horticulture or Forestry or Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics or Statistics. Moreover, candidates that possess bachelor degree in Civil engineering or Chemical engineering or mechanical engineering can also apply for the posts.
- Thanadars: Candidates must pass 10th Examination or its equivalent.
- Technical Assistant: Candidates must pass Trade certificate of draftsman (civil) trade, i.e. ITI in the state or its equivalent examination.
- Bunglow Watchers: Candidates must be at least 10th pass from a recognized board.
Age limit
On 1st July, 2014, candidates age must between 18 to 30 years to apply for the posts except the post of technical assistant that allow age group of 18 to 36 to apply for the same. Candidates of reserved category can get the facility of age relaxation as per Government norms.
Fees and payment mode
Applicants from general OBC and the unreserved category require paying Rs 300 and reserved category candidates including SC or ST need to pay Rs 150 as the examination fees, application fees and processing fees. Payment should be done through online mode including debit cards, credit cards, and Mee-Seva/ AP Online Centers.
Pay scale
Salary of the posts is also different in category wise. Pay scale of each post is as following:
- Asst. Beat Officers: 7520-22430
- Forest Beat Officers: 7960-23650
- Forest Section Officers: 10020-29200
- Thanadars: 7100-21250
- Technical Assistant: 9460 – 27700
- Bunglow Watchers: 6700-20110
Process of selection
For the post of technical assistant selection will be made through written examination.
For the rest of the post selection will be conducted on the basis of written test, physical measurements, certificate verification, medical examination, and walking test.
