WBSSC Recruitment - 2014 notification, Apply online for the post of Sub Inspector.
The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission has now come up with a notification on the 1131 vacancies for the post of Police Sub inspector. The online application is available on their official website www.wbssc.gov.in. WBSSC is an organization which is known to recruit a various candidates for different posts for the West Bengal Government.
They are now in the process of recruiting for a different posts and the notification is known to be already published in their official website.
Name of the position - Police Sub Inspector (PSI)
Age limit – The candidate should be between the age of 18 to 40 years as on 01/01/2014. However, age relaxation can be got in accordance to the rules of the Government.
Education qualification – The applicant is required to have cleared the Madhyamik exam from WB education board or equivalent examination. They should be also able to write, read and speak Bengali or Nepali language.
Process of selection – The candidates are required to fill the online form which is available on their official website and then take a printout of it. It needs to be sent to The Secretary cum Controller of Examinations, West Bengal Staff Selection Commission, Mayukh Bhaban, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700091, along with the various other supporting documents.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination and after that followed by a Physical/ Personality test.
Application fees – The application fees is Rs.220. However, for the SC/ ST/ PD candidates, the fees is only Rs.20.
Pay scale – The scale of pay is Rs. 5400/- to Rs. 25200/-with GP of Rs. 2600/-
Dates to remember
The last date for receipt of the form is 14/03/2014 and the admit card will be available from 23/05/2014. The exam will be held on 26/06/2014 and the results will be announced during the month of August, 2014.
Online Submission
Candidates will be able to submit their application through Commission's website www.wbssc.gov.in by filling up their basic information including scanned photograph and signature.
Payment of Examination fees and Processing fees can be pay online through payment gateway using Debit Cards/Credits Cards/Net banking of selected bank. An Extra amount of Rs. 5/- only will be charged by the concerned agency as a "Service Charge" for payment process by Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking facility.
Applicants are required to upload scanned copy of their recent passport size photographs as well as their full signature.
After successful submission of the application, an auto generated receipt with Registration Number will be generated. Candidates are advised to note that and write the registration number for all future communications which is related with applications. Candidates may also "Save / Print" a copy of their applications.
