Sikkim Police Recruitment Notice 2014 

Sikkim Police Recruitment has declared a recruitment notification for recruiting eligible candidate for the posts of Constable and Driver. If you are interested in pursuing your career as in the police department, you can apply for the vacancies that include several posts. 572 candidates will be recruited in Sikkim Police Department in various posts that include GD constable, followers, constable driver and constable technical.

Posts and total vacancies 

Following is the detailed of vacancies of the posts fill up by the Sikkim Police Combined Recruitment.

• GD Constable- 450 Posts
• Constable Driver- 85 Posts
• Constable (Technical)- 30 Posts
• Followers- 07 Posts

Age 

Candidates age must be  between 18 years to 22 years to apply for the said posts. However, candidates from reserved category and SC or ST category can get a certain age relaxation as per Government rules and regulations. 

Eligibility Criteria

Different posts come with different educational criteria that are as following.

• For GD Constable & Driver posts- candidates must pass the matriculation exam or 10th standard or equivalent from a recognized board.
• For Constable (Technical) Posts: Applicants need to pass the intermediate or 12th class exam or equivalent from any recognized board or institute
• For Followers post: Class 6 pass candidate can appear for the same

Physical Measurements

Apart from above-mentioned educational qualification, certain physical measurement is also required for such posts. To apply for the posts, height of the male and female candidates is respectively 5’3’’ and 5’. Male candidates need to weight at least 50 Kg, whereas minimum weight of female candidates is 45 kg. Chest must be at least 32” along with 2” expansion for male. 

Application fees 

Candidates need to require paying any application fees for the aforementioned posts. 

Selection procedure 

Candidates will be selected on the base of their performance in the written test, Physical efficiency exam and Physical Measurement tests. 

Last date of submission application form 

Candidates are requested to send their application form in the prescribed format. Do not forget to send the photocopies of your documents and certificates in proof of age, qualification and experience along with the application form.  Remember that the application form must reach the concerned address on or before 20th March, 2014.
